Comments: Sarah: What is sure to be the first of many entries about Europe

I recommend a small messenger bag, that you wear across your body (with the bag in the front in crowded places where you feel less secure). You might want a light sweater or windbreaker, especially in Scotland. If it fits in your messenger bag, so much the better.

I'm just jealous. Everyone's going to Europe nowadays. Sarah. Marci. Europeans. It's just not fair. But have a good time anyhow. I love you guys. You may need to hide your passports in your bras. I learned that the easy way.

i love LOVE rick steves. all of his books on europe are amazing. check some out from the library and take some notes. he has great recommendations on places to say, local eateries, and the best times to hit up certain attractions. i'll send you my italy book; it was a lifesaver.

i'm so excited for you!

Thanks for the suggestions, Nicole and Lisa. I'll be looking at books and bags this weekend, so I'll report back on what I find.
