Have you ever noticed that there is always like one "badass" goth kid in every small town?

I have a tender spot in my heart for that guy. He could be out drinking blood and smashing pumpkins (or whatever it is bad kids do) with his pals, but instead he went with his mom to the local craft expo on the busiest shopping day of the year. Or at least that's how I imagine it happened.

Yes, he seemed like a good sort. I think he was hanging out with his dad. I saw him again when I drove past the cemetery on Saturday afternoon. He was taking pictures of headstones.

Don't give him that much credit. He's pocketing the doilies and selling them on the black market for smack. Trust me. I buy from him. Doilies, that is.
