Comments: Lisa: Dino-mite

Lisa- I love the dino eggs. I am going to have to do it next time I babysit my cousin who loves dinosaurs. So where do you find sand? Did you buy it or go to a lake and scoop some up?

I bought "play sand" from Home Depot, because it is the cleanest kind of sand (in case the kids ate any). It was like $2 for a 60 pound bag. I have tons left, if you want to use mine.

I cracked open my rock a week ago. It was way fun, and I didn't even mind the rock being in my room. If you smelled it, it sort of smelled like coffee. Mmm... coffee flavored stegosaurus...

In a book called Kid Concoctions they have a recipe very similar, or it could be the same. You should check out the book for more fun ideas for storytime. I own the book if you would like to check it out. Also their website is www.kidconcoctions.com. I do the activities all the time with my cousin and we have a balst.
