I lived in Seattle for 7 years and never did the Underground tour, but wish I had.

I've never done one... but I've wanted to. Which one are you looking into doing?

I have done a similar cleanse as the one you linked to...Usually mine are a 5-day period: Day 1, juices and water; Day 2, add fresh fruit (we never limited it to certain fruit); Day 3, add fresh veggies (this usually meant we would go to Olive Garden and have the salad, just the salad, but a lot of it); Day 4, add carbs - usually just oatmeal for breakfast and maybe a piece of toast without butter or anything later; Day 5, add fish, like tuna. Then you should be back on track. I tend to find myself making it through day 3 (in fact I'm on day 1 right now) and then succumbing to 'real' food but the first three days really work well. Good luck if you do try it!

Guess what? We're going to be in Seattle at the same time! How many times have you been there? There's tons to do, but I'd recommend different things if you're a first-timer. And the underground tour was pretty interesting...

So, forgive my ignorance, but why would you do a cleanse? What's the goal?

Hey I live in Seattle. (Your sister works with my Mom, she contacted me through Myspace, I like to read your blog, blah blah blah.) ANYWAY, contact me if you need anything while you are here!

Wow, the comments have been so helpful! I've heard that the Underground Tour is very cool (not sure if Mom and Becky would be interested, but I'll definitly suggest it) and Rebecca, thanks for commenting! I'd love to have a MySpace friend in Seattle. E and Rebecca: share a cupcake with me while we're in town!
Lisa, I'd be doing a cleansing diet for a couple reasons. One: I like the idea of flushing out toxins and ebbing the junk-food flow. Doing an intensive cleansing diet would hopefully remind me of how great it can feel to eat healthier, plus I have to assume that some weight-loss would be involved. Maybe it'd be temporary, or maybe it'd help me realize how I could be eating.
I'm not sure which cleansing diet I'd do, although I had something like Moe described in mind. Anyone interested in doing it with me? I'd be happy to blog my thoughts each day, and you could all comment or add your experience. It could be cool...?

My husband has twice done the lemonade and maple syrup "fast". My brother likes the colon cleanse. And my mom occassionally does an 100% fruit and veggie juice cleanse. Good luck with whatever you try. Personally I just try to eat a lot of fiber all the time. I used to buy Nature's Sunshine Chloryphyll and add it to water once or twice a day. I need to do that again, I like the way it makes me feel and the "wholesome" flavor:)

Holy shee you girls are popular. I did a cleansing diet once. It rocked. Prepare to be Fing hungry though. Or maybe that was just me. I'm a big fan of eating...all the time. But let me know. I would lovelovelove to detox wit chew. Have fun in Seattle!
