I seem to recall that in French you don't say "I'm full" when you can't eat another bite, because that phrase is used to connote pregnancy.

And speaking of pregnancy (or not), I never got used to English women telling me to knock them up when I was in the area.

Dave- could be worse. They could say "Knock me up when your in my area"!

There I go again- always in the gutter! I need help!

in austria, if you say "ich bin voll" that means you are fat. so you say "ich bin sat" which means i am done (eating). luckily, if someone knows you are american, they give you the benefit of the doubt when you say "ich bin heiss" or "ich bin kalt" (cold meaning stand-off ish). german is a fascinating language. sarah, i had no idea you were taking german! but i didn't start reading your blog again until today. its now my homepage. love you!

Aw, thanks for making us your homepage!
I am struggling through my German classes to take care of my required Foreign Language courses. At least now maybe I can fake my way a little bit when I move to Austria to be near you, Staci!
