Posted by lisa at January 8, 2008 06:59 PMSarah, I vote Beef Stew! After all the cold today a warm steaming bowl of stew sounds so good! If you need any tips let me know! Personally...... I chop onions and garlic and saute them in the pan AFTER getting a GREAT caramel brown on my beef so I have a great "fond". Jeremy will attest to my fondness of a good "fond".......anyway back to the tip.....saute onion and garlic till soft in a little EVOO and THEN add a good squeeze of tomato paste and saute that with it all. Brings out the natural sugars and gives your stew broth a fantastic flavor!!
