Lisa: ouch.

Something is very wrong with my neck.

I think I slept on it funny, and then I turned my head in a weird way while I was leaning over putting my shoes on this morning, and something went "ping." In my neck. Now whenever I move my head there is a sharp pain at the base of my skull and sort of a pulling feeling down the left side of the back of my neck. I keep sort of pushing on the area of greatest discomfort, but I don't think it's helping.

Suggestions?

Our cousin is a masseuse. Go see her, post-haste.

Don't move your head in the way that causes the pain. That should take care of it.

I kind of hate you now. :P

Hot packs, those weird icy-hot type patches you can get at the drug store, alieve or ibuprophen, and especially a massage. I had a massage today - fantastic.

This exact thing happened to me last week. It was miserable. I tryed everything... heat, cold, massage, stretching. Nothing helped. Basically all you can do is wait it out. Sorry! Feel better soon!

Not trying to freak you out here, but I had a neck pain like that and ended up having a stroke two weeks later. Yes, a stroke, and I was only 25 at the time. Turns out I tore an artery in my neck and my body formed a unusually large clot. Hence, the pain. If it persists you may want to check with a Dr.

At least if I have a stroke I will have the (admittedly meager) consolation that Charles will feel really bad about his comment.

This is totally off the subject of strokes, but I think we went to high school together. I saw photos of your reunion and realized, hey, that's my reunion. Go Eagles.
