Just to clear up any debate: Zenith can be pronounced "zE-nith" or "zen-ith."

See the Oxford English Dictionary and Merriam Webster Online.

It CAN be. But you know all the cool kids say "ZEE-nith."

Or DO they?

Well... I've always said "ZEE-nith" because it makes me think of Xena, the Warrior Princess. Man. I miss good TV. hee hee hee.

It looks like Canadians and Britons are the ones who say "zen-ith." Here in AMERICA, we say ZE-nith, probably for the reason Mallory gives.

I'm not arguing that "zen-ith" is a BETTER pronunciation (although the British HAVE been around longer than Americans... I'M JUST SAYING), I'm just saying that it is an acceptable pronunciation. Although Xena = comedy gold.
